We are seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join ESTE Lab at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Boğaziçi University, as part of a YÖK ADEP research project conducted in collaboration with SBÜ Experimental Medicine Application and Research Center and Koç University.

Development of a Machine Learning-Compatible Experimental Data Library for Antibacterial Design: Quantitative Mapping of the Chiral Nanoparticle–Protein Interface

The project focuses on the synthesis and characterization of chiral nanoparticles, nanoparticle–protein interactions, antibacterial studies, and the generation of systematic experimental datasets suitable for subsequent machine learning analyses.

The successful candidate will work within an interdisciplinary research team and will actively contribute to experimental studies, data analysis, preparation of scientific publications, and development of research projects.

Qualifications

• PhD in nanotechnology, biomedical engineering, bioengineering, materials science, chemistry, molecular biology, or a related field

• Strong background in experimental research

• Experience in nanoparticle synthesis and characterization

• Experience in nano–bio interfaces, nanoparticle–protein interactions, antibacterial studies, or biomaterials is highly desirable

• Experience in machine learning or data science is an advantage but is not required

• Strong skills in scientific data analysis, manuscript preparation, and research proposal writing

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary research environment

• Strong motivation for scientific research

• Turkish citizenship is required due to project regulations
