🎓 PhD Researcher Positions

We are seeking highly motivated PhD researchers to join our research group under a project funded by the TÜBİTAK 2232-A International Fellowship for Outstanding Researchers Programme.

The research focuses on polymer bioelectronics, neural interfaces, biomaterials, micro/nanofabrication, and electrospinning, with applications in biomedical engineering and next-generation neural technologies.

💰 Monthly Stipend: 32,500 TRY (Full-Time)

🔬 Research Areas

• Polymer Bioelectronics: Polymer chemistry, synthesis techniques, conductive polymers, and the development of electronic systems for biosensing applications.
• Neural Interfaces and Biomaterials: Biocompatible hydrogels, neuronal cell culture, and brain–computer interfaces (BCIs).
• Micro/Nanofabrication: Cleanroom technologies, micro/nanofabrication techniques, and the development of high-density polymer-based electrode arrays.
• Electrospinning: Fabrication of functional bionanomaterials, tissue engineering applications, and the development of conductive polymer-based materials.

🎯 Candidate Profile

We welcome applications from candidates with:

• An academic background in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• An interest in, and preferably hands-on experience with, at least one of the following: polymers, biomaterials, cell culture, micro/nanofabrication, or electrospinning.
• Strong motivation for scientific research, a collaborative mindset, and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research.

📌 Eligibility and Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet the admission requirements of the PhD programme at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Boğaziçi University.

Candidates must be enrolled in or have received admission to the PhD programme to be eligible for the research fellowship.

ALES or GRE scores, together with TOEFL results, are required in accordance with the university's graduate admission criteria.
