Dear Students,

As the end of the 2025-2026 Academic Year approaches, the critical deadlines and ceremony participation details for students at the graduation stage are provided below:

1. For Students Wishing to Receive Their Diploma at the Graduation Ceremony

Students who wish to graduate and receive their physical diplomas during the ceremony must adhere to the following schedule:

• June 02, 2026: Deadline for advisors to submit thesis defense jury proposals to the Institute.
• June 12, 2026: Deadline for completing thesis defenses.
• June 19, 2026: Deadline for submitting the final version of the thesis (format-checked and approved) to the Institute.

Note: Students who complete their graduation process after these dates may still participate in the ceremony without receiving their diplomas on stage.

2. For Students Reaching Their Maximum Duration by the End of Spring 2025-26

The official deadlines for students whose maximum residency period ends this semester are as follows:

• August 07, 2026: Deadline for advisors to submit thesis defense jury proposals to the Institute.
• August 28, 2026: Deadline for completing thesis defenses.

(Students who successfully pass their defense must submit the final, approved version of their thesis to the Institute within one month at the latest.)

3. Graduation Ceremony Participation Form (IMPORTANT)

All students who wish to attend the ceremony must fill out the form attached and send it via email to bme@bogazici.edu.tr no later than June 12, 2026.
