The successful candidate will contribute to the development of next-generation polymer-based electronic and biosensing platforms, with a particular focus on electrospun functional materials, conducting polymers, polymer electronics, and biosensor technologies.

The project combines materials science, polymer chemistry, bioelectronics, and biomedical engineering, providing an interdisciplinary research environment for candidates interested in developing innovative materials and devices for future biomedical applications.

Research Areas

The researcher will have the opportunity to work on topics including:

• Conducting and functional polymers for bioelectronic applications
• Electrospinning and fabrication of functional polymeric fibers
• Polymer-based electrodes and electronic devices
• Biosensor development and characterization
• Integration of polymer materials with biomedical sensing platforms
• Electrical, electrochemical, morphological, and material characterization
• Development of new polymer formulations and fabrication strategies for wearable, flexible, and biomedical electronic systems

We Are Looking For Candidates With

✅ A PhD or expected PhD completion in Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Nanotechnology, Bioengineering, or a closely related field

✅ Background in polymer chemistry, polymer materials, or polymer electronics

✅ Experience with or strong interest in electrospinning and functional polymer fabrication

✅ Experience or interest in biosensors, bioelectronics, electrochemical sensors, or biomedical devices

✅ Knowledge of polymer synthesis, formulation, processing, and/or characterization techniques

✅ Strong experimental skills and enthusiasm for hands-on laboratory research

✅ Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to an interdisciplinary research team

✅ Good scientific communication and academic writing skills
