Medical Imaging

The Medical Imaging studies at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering include novel diagnostic system development for better understanding and characterization of several diseases, including cancer and neurodegeneration. Our research studies encompass both hardware and software development for new medical imaging technologies. The main medical imaging modalities that our faculty members are developing technologies for are magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), electroencephalography (EEG), and positron emission tomography (PET).
