Necmi Tanyolaç Award

Prof. Dr. N. Tanyolaç Award – Guidelines

In honor of the founder of our Institute, Prof. Dr. Necmi Tanyolaç, this award is presented to Boğaziçi University students who, during their Master's or Ph.D. studies, have contributed to the field of Biomedical Engineering and Technologies through projects and research resulting in the production of:

  • processes, methods, analyses, techniques, instruments, devices, hardware, software, algorithms

  • thesis

  • articles published in internationally indexed journals (SCI, SCIE)

  • national journal articles

  • international patents

  • national patents

  • international conference proceedings

  • national conference proceedings

  • and other relevant outputs

Applications are evaluated by appointed reviewers, and the reviewer reports are reviewed by the Executive Board of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering. Each year, the most outstanding candidate is selected and awarded.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Only Boğaziçi University students who will graduate with a Master's or Ph.D. degree during that year's commencement ceremony are eligible to apply.

  • There is no age limit for application.

Application Instructions:

  • Candidates must complete the application form and submit it together with all supporting documents (including all works related to the award application) to the Institute Secretariat by the deadline announced at the beginning of May.

Announcement & Award Ceremony:

  • The results of the evaluation will be announced shortly after the official graduation decision date in the academic calendar, and the award will be presented to the recipient during the graduation ceremony.
