Guide for Thesis Writers

LaTeX typesetting system is available on LINUX, Mac OS and MS Windows platforms.
Convenient LaTeX editors are available such as TeXstudio https://www.texstudio.org/ in which the LaTeX system can be integrated.
There is also a web based open editing and typesetting environment for LaTeX called https://www.overleaf.com/ .
For pictures to be inserted in the text in postscript (.ps) or encapsulated postscript (.eps) format,
and run the LATEX->PS->PDF option in LaTeX editor environment.

" bmetez.tex" (sample source file : you will edit your own file with an arbitrary filename)

" bmetez.bst " (the bibliography style file will be used in compilation: DO NOT EDIT!)
" bmetez.bib "(sample bibliography file containing the references: you will edit your own references with an arbitrary filename)
" mlp_0.eps " (sample figure file in encapsulated postscript format (.eps) )
WARNING!!!
- When using LaTeX, do not add any additonal LaTeX packages to the bmetez.tex. Those packages will very likely conflict with the thesis style and distort the format of your output.
- Once you finish writing and typesetting your thesis draft, check and correct your document with regard to the items listed in Chapter 2-COMMON MISTAKES COMMITTED BY THESIS WRITERS before submitting your thesis for format control.
