Cellular Imaging and Electrophysiology Laboratory
Prof. Dr. Hale Saybasili
Research Fields:
- Electrophysiological recordings from brain slice cells and imaging of intracellular ionic movements are accomplished. Also mechanisms of pathological and pharmocological approaches are studied.
- Electrical activity measurements and potential for modelling neurodegenerative diseases, single cell fluorescence imaging
- Investigating the effects of neuroprotective and/or neurodegenerative agents on differentiated SH-SY5Y cells
- Investigating the antiinflammatory effects of an endemic plant (Sideritis brevibracteata) and Vitamins E and C on differentiated SH-SY5Y cells
- Investigating the effects of cardiac drugs on differentiated SH-SY5Y cells
- Collecting gait, blood and MRI data from stroke patients and investigating correlations between different modalities
- Whole-cell Patch-clamp
- Electrophysiology
- Atomic Force Microscopy
- Mechanical Properties of the Cells
- Fluorescence Imaging
- Cell Culture
- Immunocytochemistry
- Stroke
- Wearable Gait Analysis
- MRI
